Concrete in Practice (CIP)

The Concrete in Practice (CIP) Series are 1 or 2 page discussion sheets covering a variety of technical topics relating to concrete products. Written by the NRMCA Research, Engineering and Standards Committee in a "What, Why and How?" format, the CIP series contains 32 topics designed to provide useful information in non-technical terms. Updates and revisions are made as needed, with other topics continuously being developed.

CIPs are the copyrighted information of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association and are displayed on this website with their permission.
